Hsu Feng-Pin visited Taiwan Power Baseball for a technical session centered on the decisions, details and rhythm that bring baserunning back to the heart of the game.

BRPA chairman Hsu Feng-Pin recently visited Taiwan Power Baseball for a baserunning teaching and exchange session. More than a single practice, it was an opportunity to renew the conversation with Taiwan’s top amateur system.
Taiwan Power has long stood as a model of corporate baseball, with stable structures and a complete development pathway. The day focused on breaking down baserunning details and the logic behind every choice.
Expertise is not distance. It is understanding.— BRPA Taiwan
01 / DETAILS
From judgment to rhythmBreaking down the details
The session moved from start decisions and defensive reads to controlling the rhythm of reaching the next base. Baserunning became a connected process of observation, choice and execution.
When players understand the reason behind a movement, repetition becomes a foundation for decisions in changing game situations.
02 / DECISION QUALITY
Beyond speeddecision quality changes the game
Top amateur players absorb details and respond quickly, allowing the group to go deeper into the relationship between baserunning and team tactics.
Rather than focusing on greater speed, Hsu emphasized the quality of the decision—when to advance, hold or change direction is what truly affects the game.

03 / ON-FIELD FEEDBACK
Turning instinct into a tactical skillthat can improve
On-field positioning demonstrations and immediate feedback helped players revisit familiar habits from a new angle. Baserunning became something that could be broken down, understood and optimized.
Every start, hold and turn could be reconsidered against the conditions of the game and linked more deliberately to team tactics.
04 / LONG-TERM GROWTH
Professional growthsupported by a stable system
The exchange also touched on Taiwan Power’s long-standing support for player career planning. Its system gives athletes stability beyond performance and allows expertise to accumulate with confidence.
This session was both technical sharing and dialogue across levels of baseball. BRPA will continue building exchange pathways so baserunning can return, through detail, to the essence of competition.
This understanding of baserunning continues to take shape on fields at every level.
